木をスクエア型にカットして 漆の下地をしてから、正面に鼈甲を貼り、その後正面と側面には貝を貼っています。
正面の中心に４弁の花文様を描き、貝を貼った部分にも細かく蒔絵と朱漆を入れています。
べっ甲の文様とメキシコ貝の鮮やかなブルーが大変美しく目を引くデザインとなっています。
時間をかけて制作した蒔絵作品は、特別なひと時を演出してくれます。
また、木と鼈甲なので 大きさの割に大変軽く、使いやすいかと思います。
