木を三日月形にカットして 漆の下地をしてから、正面には白っぽい貝を貼って、金線で文様を描き、その後 色漆を塗っています。

裏側(こちらが正面でもいいのですが)には、べっ甲を貼っています。

側面の片側には鮑貝などを貼って文様を作り、もう片面は粗い銀粉を蒔いた後に梨地漆を塗っています。

三日月の上には、星形の淡水真珠を付けました。

制作するのに大変時間のかかりましたが、貝の光とパステル調の漆の色が映える可愛らしい作品となりました。

金具も表裏がありませんので、そのときの気分でどちらの面もお使いいただけます。

また、大きさの割に軽いので、使いやすいかと思います。

The wood is cut into a crescent shape and coated with lacquer, then a whitish shell is attached to the front and a pattern is drawn with gold wire before being painted with colored lacquer.

Tortoiseshell is attached to the back side (which can also be the front).

Abalone shells are attached to one side of the side to create a pattern, and the other side is covered with coarse silver powder and then painted with matte lacquer.

A star-shaped freshwater pearl is attached on top of the crescent moon.

It took a long time to make, but the light from the shells and the pastel colors of the lacquer stand out in this adorable piece.

The metal fittings have no front or back, so you can use either side depending on your mood.

It's also light for its size, so I think it's easy to use.
