リトアニア産のコニャック系の琥珀に蒔絵をしたピアスです。
珍しい円筒形の琥珀の上部に丸い鮑貝を貼って、その上から朱漆を塗って研ぎ出しています。
そこに、金粉で細い線を ぐるぐると描いていますが、急なカーブに線を引くこの作業は大変気を遣います。
貝の光と、琥珀の輝き、朱漆の美しさが１体となった作品となっています。
シンプルながら存在感がありますので、カジュアルなお出かけの際にも、特別な日のアクセントにも最適です。

These earrings feature maki-e (gold lacquer) design on cognac-colored amber from Lithuania.
A round abalone shell is attached to the top of an unusual cylindrical piece of amber, which is then coated with vermilion lacquer and polished.
Thin, circular lines are then drawn in gold powder, but this process of drawing the lines along sharp curves requires great care.
The light of the shell, the brilliance of the amber, and the beauty of the vermilion lacquer come together in this piece.
