木を正方形にカットして 漆の下地をしてから、側面に鼈甲を貼り、正面にはメキシコ貝を貼っています。
そこに金具のように縁取りを金で蒔絵をしています。
もう１面には金で下地を作り、そこに青い薔薇の蒔絵を高蒔絵で制作しました。
小さいながらも制作するのに大変時間がかかる作品です。
金具も表裏がありませんので、そのときの気分でどちらの面もお使いいただけます。
また、素材が木なので、大変軽いので使いやすいです。
この作品が日常の装いに上品さをプラスしてくれるだけでなく、魅力的な輝きを放つことを願っています。
また、青い薔薇の花言葉が 夢が叶う だそうです。

The wood is cut into a square and coated with lacquer. Then, tortoise shell is applied to the sides and Mexican shell is applied to the front.
The edges are then lacquered with gold to create a metal fitting.
The other side is coated with gold and then lacquered with blue roses using taka-maki-e.
Although it is small, it took a long time to create.
The fittings have no front or back, so you can use either side depending on your mood.
In addition, since the material is wood, it is very light and easy to use.
